# How to Manage Subscriptions in AceCloud?

The **Subscriptions** page in AceCloud lets you view all active, inactive and expired subscriptions for resources in your selected project. From here, you can:

* View subscription details such as status, renewal type, amount, and start date
* Change the billing plan for eligible resources
* Release a subscribed resource when it is no longer required

### **Prerequisites**

Before proceeding, ensure that:

* You are logged in to the **AceCloud** portal.
* The required **project** and **region** are selected from the top-right corner.

## **Access the Subscriptions Page**

To access the subscriptions page:

1. Log in to the **AceCloud** portal.
2. From the left navigation pane, click **Billing**.
3. Select **Subscriptions**.

The **Subscriptions** page opens and displays a list of all subscriptions associated with the selected project.

## **Overview of the Subscriptions Page**

The **Subscriptions** page displays subscription details in a tabular format. Depending on the selected view, the following information may be shown:

* **Resource** – Name/type of the subscribed resource
* **Auto Renewal** – Indicates whether renewal is enabled
* **Status** – Shows whether the subscription is **Active** or **Expired**
* **Renewal Type** – Displays the billing cycle, such as **Hourly**, **Monthly**, **Half Yearly**, or **Yearly**
* **Renewal Amount** – The amount charged on renewal
* **Total Amount** – The total amount billed for the subscription
* **Start Date** – Subscription start date and time
* **Paid** – Indicates whether the billing amount has been paid
* **Actions** – Lets you manage the subscription

You can also use the following options on this page:

* **Search** – Search subscriptions using a keyword
* **Filters** – Filter subscriptions based on available criteria
* **View toggle** – Switch between different subscription table views
* **Refresh** – Refresh the subscription list

## **Change the Billing Plan of a Subscription**

You can change the billing plan of an eligible subscribed resource from the **Subscriptions** page.

### **To change the billing plan:**

1. Go to **Billing > Subscriptions**.
2. Locate the resource whose billing plan you want to change.
3. In the **Actions** column, click the **ellipsis (⋯)** menu.
4. Click **Change Billing Plan**.

The **Change Billing Plan** dialog box appears and shows:

a. The current billing plan

b. The resource/volume type

c. Available billing plan options

5. From the **New Billing Plan** drop-down, select the required billing plan.

Depending on the resource, available options may include:

**a. Monthly**

**b. Half Yearly**

**c. Yearly**

6. Review the **Billing plan preview** section.

This section shows:

a. Current billing plan

b. New billing plan

c. Resource type

d. Estimated payable amount

7. Click **Submit**.

8. If the selected plan is a **fixed billing cycle**, a confirmation dialog appears.
9. Review the billing details and select the checkbox to confirm that you understand and agree to the terms.
10. Click **Confirm and Submit**.

A success message is displayed once the billing plan is updated successfully.

### **Important Notes for Billing Plan Change**

* The selected billing plan takes effect **immediately**.
* A **prorated charge** for the remaining billing cycle may be applied based on the difference between the current plan and the new plan.
* For **fixed billing cycles**, billing applies for the **full billing cycle**.
* No refund is provided for unused time in a fixed billing cycle.
* The resource can continue to be used during the active billing period unless it is deleted or released.
* The subscription renews automatically unless it is deleted or released before the renewal time.

## **Release a Resource from Subscriptions**

If a subscribed resource is no longer needed, you can release it from the **Subscriptions** page.

**Important:** Releasing a resource permanently deletes the resource and any associated resources, if applicable. This action cannot be undone.

### **To release a resource:**

1. Go to **Billing > Subscriptions**.
2. Locate the resource you want to release.
3. In the **Actions** column, click the **ellipsis (⋯)** menu.
4. Click **Release Resource**.

A confirmation dialog appears showing:

a. Resource name/type

b. Quantity/details of the selected resource

5. Review the warning message carefully.
6. Click **Confirm** to proceed.

After the request is processed, a success message appears indicating that the **resource has been deleted successfully and the subscription update has been scheduled**.

## **Notes**

* Only resources that support subscription management display actions such as **Change Billing Plan** or **Release Resource**.
* Billing plan options may vary depending on the **resource type**.
* Expired subscriptions remain visible in the subscription list for tracking and reference.
* Ensure that you verify the resource before releasing it, as the action is irreversible.

## **Reuse an Inactive Subscription**

You can reuse an inactive subscription that is still within its validity period instead of purchasing a new subscription.

### **To reuse an inactive subscription:**

1. Navigate to **Billing > Subscriptions**.
2. Locate the inactive subscription you want to reuse.
3. In the **Actions** column, click the **ellipsis (⋯)** menu.
4. Click **Reuse Resource**.

The resource creation page opens with the selected subscription applied automatically. Complete the remaining resource configuration and submit the request to reuse the subscription.

### **Notes**

* Only eligible **inactive subscriptions** display the **Reuse Resource** option.
* The selected subscription is automatically applied during resource creation.
* Some configuration parameters inherited from the subscription cannot be modified.
* An inactive subscription can only be reused while it remains within its validity period.
* If applicable, the subscription status (for example, **Unpaid**) is displayed during the reuse process.
