# How to detach a floating IP?
To detach a floating IP, follow the steps below:
**Step 1:** [Login](https://customer.acecloudhosting.com/app/login) with your username and password.
**Step 2:** From the left navigation, select **Networks** and then select **Floating IP**.
**Step 3:** Select the **IP Address,** click on the **drop-down** menu, and choose **Detach IP from Instance**.
**Step 4:** Confirm the IP Address and click on **Submit**.
